1. Our Commitment to Anonymity

We understand the sensitive nature of inspecting follower lists and connection changes. Discretion is the core architectural principle of our service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

When you look up or track a public Instagram username, all queries originate from our distributed server cluster. Your personal device IP address, geolocation, and identity are never transmitted to Instagram or the account owner. The tracked user receives zero notifications and has no way of knowing their public profile has been checked.

2. Public Data Only — No Private Account Access

CheckLastFollow exclusively analyzes publicly accessible data that account owners have voluntarily published to the open internet.

• Public Profiles Only: Our tools only work with Instagram accounts configured as public. We do not access, bypass, or monitor private accounts.
• No Circumvention: We do not circumvent Instagram privacy settings, intercept private messages, or bypass authentication walls.
• Immediate Protection: If an account switches from public to private, our automated snapshot synchronizer immediately suspends further roster inspections.

3. Information We Collect

In accordance with data minimization principles, we only collect the minimum data required to deliver the follower tracking service:

• Account Email: Used exclusively for sending 6-digit passwordless login verification codes (OTP) and optional automated change alerts.
• Tracked Public Handles: The public Instagram usernames you voluntarily enter to monitor following differences.
• Payment Data: All financial transactions are securely processed directly by Stripe. CheckLastFollow never sees, receives, or stores your credit card number or CVV.
• Technical Logs: Standard web server logs (browser type, anonymized IP, referring URL) collected for performance monitoring and DDoS mitigation.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner only with reputable, SOC2-compliant third-party infrastructure providers to deliver our service:

• Stripe: Payment processing and billing subscriptions.
• Resend: Secure transactional email delivery for login codes and follower change digests.
• Google Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized website usage statistics to improve user experience.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential session tokens and minimal local storage to remember your authentication session and temporary search preferences. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies. For complete details, please read our dedicated Cookie Policy.

6. Data Sovereignty & GDPR / CCPA Rights

You retain full ownership of your data under international privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA. You have the right to:

• Access and export your tracked history and snapshot records.
• Instantly delete any tracked account from your dashboard.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated records with one click in your settings.

7. Profile Opt-Out & Content Removal

If you are a public Instagram profile owner and wish to prevent your public profile from being searchable or tracked on CheckLastFollow, you may submit a removal request.

To request an opt-out blacklist, please email us at support@checklastfollow.com with the subject line "Profile Opt-Out Request" and your exact Instagram handle. Once verified, your username will be permanently blacklisted from our search engine within 48 hours.

Note: The fastest and most permanent way to prevent anyone from viewing your social data on any third-party tool is to set your Instagram account to Private in the Instagram app.
